Buttery Caramel - When the rich scent of a fresh baked butter cookie and yummy caramel are combined it creates and irrisitable aroma.

Blue Sugar - A Wonderful harmony of caramelized sugar and vanilla blended with heady notes of cedar and tonka bean. The heart of the fragrance is rich with energetic notes of licorice, patchouli, lavender, and coriander, freshened with crisp bergamot and mandarin, and finished with soothing notes of anise. Blue Sugar is a fragrance of contrasts - fun and effervescent.

the demise of me posting on the this blog and keeping up to date with the candle happenings, was the fact that we sold our house in Leander and moved down to La Grange. Having the house on the market was hard enough and trying to make candles was disastrous.

but I survived and so did the candles.

This month we have a ton of new stuff!

All Hallow's Eve - Don't be fooled by the name. This would make a great year round scent.A spicy mulled grapefruit type with a fruity citrus orange-grapefruit top-note, a cinnamon leaf, spicy middle-note and a soft musky, sweet vanilla base-note.

Candy Corn - Fall just would not be fall without the aroma of Candy Corn in the air.

Fall Festival - A delicious cinnamon aroma that is great for a cool fall evening or any time of the year.

Lavender - Just like the very popular and aromatic flower that is known for its narrow aromatic leaves and spikes of lilac-purple flowers which are dried and used in sachets.

Luscious Vanilla - This is an awesome combination of our Sweet Creamy Vanilla and Buttery Sugar Cookie to make one great scent.

Spiced Vanilla - A nice combination of our creamy vanilla and our spiced cinnamon.

Autumn Lodge - A calming fragrance evoking aged timbers and a glowing hearth.

Burnin' Love Cinnamon - Looking for the HOTTEST cinnamon yet? This is the strongest, purest cinnamon we have ever tried.

I started this grand blog, but I not doing very good at keeping it updated :( So, here's the latest news:

Website is completely re-built in Publisher Pro. Has been for a month ; I've just been so busy with family and friends, I haven't had the time to upload and tweak it. But, I'm working on that!!!

I've ordered a few new fragrances for this month and they are:

Vineyard - An intoxicating fruity floral scent with top notes of grape, strawberry, peach and leaves. Middle notes of orange blossom, bois de rose, red wine, cassis. Base notes are a sweet vanilla.

Tropical Storm - Be careful a storm is a brewing. All of the different fruits in this are sure to create the perfect storm. Banana-it's in there, Mango's-their in there, Coconut-yep it's in there and far to many other things to mention.

Cranberry, Peach & Vanilla - A one of a kind combination that is sure to please. The tart cranberry combine with the sweet Peach and Vanilla to make a sure fire hit.

Gourmet Sugar Cookie - A very rich full bodied cookie dough blend of vanilla, butter and brown sugar.

White Cake - an awesome aroma of a fresh white cake.

Vanilla Hazelnut - A delicious combination of sweet rich vanilla and fresh hazelnuts......

Sage - smells just like the herb and is very strong.

by golly, I spent about 2 1/2 hours working yesterday and got my new website built! But part of me thinks, it can't be that easy, or can it? I was expecting to spend 20+ hours since I knew nothing about building a website, but NOPE. Now's the fun part of getting it uploaded. I am hoping to find time over the weekend to get it done, because I want to get the new, improved simplesouthernscents.com launched!!!

I've got tons of new stuff dropped off at Vanilla Girl Designs, Parts and Labour and Blue Velvet! Go check it out. I've also ordered some NEW stuff ;) Coming next week will be:

Storm Watch - Like a moist warning breeze before a storm, naturally airy and refreshingly different - Uplifting.

White Willow & Tea - A green citrusy tea and wood type with an ozone bergamot top note, a melon coriander, rosy middle note and a woody cedar and white musky base note.

Glow - Fresh, Sexy and Clean. The result is a skin-scent - real, intimate, exciting. A scent as immaculate and creamy as a lush white rose. Top Notes of Orange flower, Grapefruit, and Tones of bright citrus. Middle Notes of Rose, Sandalwood, and Soft Amber. Bottom Notes of Transparent jasmine, Vanilla, Musk, and Orris.

Kudzu - An intensely tropical fruity type with top-notes of mango, papaya and peach followed by a soft fruity floral rosy middle note and a vanilla bean and white musk dry out.

Rose Garden - A true strong rose scent.

Citrus Sensation - You must try this Strong Citrusy, Pulpy, juicy orange combined with sweet creamy vanilla.

Hawaiian Sandalwood - A complex woody blend with a light nuances of Jasmine and Lavender along with a smooth woody background.

I've now got software and I am going to attempt to build a new website!!! Am I crazy? I just finished taking new pictures which I am very happy with. We will see as I get them on the webpage. I have dreams, I have hopes and I'm finally so terribly excited to finally bring them all together. Wish me luck ;)
